About The Role

Enfinium is leading the way in sustainable energy, and we're excited to introduce Kelvin, our latest state-of-the-art Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility in West Bromwich. Set to be fully operational in 2026, Kelvin will process up to 395,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually, generating up to 44MW of electricity—enough to power 95,000 UK homes while reducing landfill reliance and supporting a circular economy.

As we prepare for operations, we're looking for Mechanical Technician to join our growing team and help shape the future of this cutting-edge site.

What the Role Involves:

As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing the mechanical systems and equipment across the EfW plant, ensuring the facility operates at maximum efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining, repairing, and overhauling mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other plant machinery.
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal plant downtime and continuous performance.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults, ensuring swift resolutions to prevent disruption.
Assisting with plant upgrades and installation of new mechanical systems.
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in every task you undertake.
Collaborating with other teams to enhance plant reliability and operational efficiency.
Keeping accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment performance.

What We Are Looking For:

ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in a heavy industrial or energy-from-waste environment.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and compressors.
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to continuous learning and development.
