About The Role

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of technology within a thriving business?

We’re looking for a passionate Application Manager to join our dynamic IT team in London. In this exciting leadership role, you’ll lead a high-performing team of 3, delivering innovative technology solutions that support our business operations and help us stay ahead of the curve.

You’ll be working directly with business leaders, guiding them to harness the full potential of our applications, while also diving into hands-on development, troubleshooting, and system enhancements. This is more than just a managerial position — it’s an opportunity to make a real impact on how we use technology to drive value across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead a Thriving Application Team: Guide and support your team in delivering top-tier solutions for all our business-critical applications, from Office365 and SharePoint to bespoke business information systems.
  • Solve Problems & Innovate: Be the go-to expert for application issues, providing proactive resolutions and continuously enhancing our systems to keep us ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate with the Business: Work closely with teams across the business to identify their needs and design technology solutions that make a real difference in their operations.
  • Drive Exciting Projects: Represent IT in project meetings, taking a hands-on role in implementing new systems and technology improvements that align with business goals.
  • Lead with Vision: Set the strategic direction for your team, while still rolling up your sleeves and being hands-on to ensure the success of your projects.
  • Think Outside the Box: Stay ahead of technological trends and explore innovative solutions that drive business value and improve efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Leadership: You’ve led an application team before and know how to inspire and motivate a team to deliver results.
  • Strong Tech Expertise: You have solid experience working with Supply Chain/Operations teams, ERP solutions (bonus points for energy or manufacturing experience), and tools like Microsoft Dynamics, development, reporting, and BI systems.
  • Collaboration & Communication: You thrive in a business-facing role and can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, explaining complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Project Management Experience: You’ve got the skills to manage projects, handle changing priorities, and deliver results on time.
  • A Curious Mind: You’re always looking for ways to innovate, improve, and stay on top of the latest tech trends.
  • Self-Starter: You don’t need to be micro-managed; you take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Quality-Focused: You’re committed to delivering high-quality solutions and getting things right the first time.
