We’re looking for a proactive, safety-focused Weighbridge Operator to support the efficient, compliant and customer-focused running of our weighbridge operations. What you’ll be doing
As a vital member of the Kelvin operations team, you will:
- Take ownership of the safe, legal and compliant operation of the weighbridge and associated systems.
- Ensure all activities uphold Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Make sure the facility operates within its Environmental Permit, planning conditions and duty-of-care requirements.
- Manage daily reporting with accuracy and resolve queries promptly.
- Direct vehicle movements in and out of the facility to maintain efficient traffic flow.
- Work closely with operational and maintenance colleagues to ensure Kelvin runs as a fully integrated, high-performing site.
- Support the site in meeting its contractual and company targets for safety, waste inputs, vehicle turnaround times and residue outputs.
What we’re looking for
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Solid knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
- Understanding of waste regulations, duty of care and transfer notes.
- Strong competency with weighbridge software and confident IT skills, including Excel.
