About The Role

Join enfinium as a Senior Health and Safety Manager and play a leading role in driving health and safety excellence, you’ll provide expert guidance and support across our operational, maintenance and construction activities, helping to ensure the safe generation of clean and renewable energy. Working closely with Plant Managers, Construction Project Managers, QHS teams and senior stakeholders, you’ll help shape and embed a strong, proactive safety culture throughout our growing business.

What you will be doing?

As Senior Health and Safety Manager, you’ll act as a trusted subject matter expert across the business, supporting operational teams while driving improvements in safety standards, systems and culture. Here’s what you can expect in this varied and rewarding role:

  • Health & Safety Leadership: Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of occupational health and safety management across enfinium’s operational and construction activities. You’ll work collaboratively across the business to ensure health and safety remains fully integrated into everything we do.
  • Safety Culture & Continuous Improvement: Lead the development and deployment of enfinium’s safety culture programme, helping to embed positive behaviours and sustainable safety practices throughout the organisation.
  • Compliance & Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, regulations and industry best practice. You’ll support the business with audits, inspections, reporting and assurance activities while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Lead and support investigations into high-severity incidents and accidents, ensuring findings, corrective actions and lessons learned are effectively implemented across all sites.
  • Policies, Procedures & Training: Develop, review and maintain health and safety policies, procedures and work instructions. You’ll also support the management of training programmes, compliance matrices and health and safety content on our learning management platform.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with Plant Managers, operational teams, contractors and external stakeholders to deliver practical and cost-effective safety solutions that support operational performance.
  • Audits & SHEQ Projects: Coordinate health and safety audits across operational sites and offices while supporting the successful delivery of key projects within enfinium’s SHEQ Excellence programme.
Performance Reporting & Legislative Monitoring: Prepare monthly SHEQ performance reports and conduct horizon scanning to ensure enfinium remains ahead of legislative changes and emerging industry requirements.
 

About You

You’ll be an experienced and proactive health and safety professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll also bring:

  • A BSc degree or equivalent in a science-related discipline
  • NEBOSH General Certificate qualification
  • At least 10 years’ recent and relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, standards and best practice
  • Experience developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience
  • IOSH membership
  • Ideally, membership of CIWM / WAMITAB

You will have excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
