About The Role

enfinium is leading the way in sustainable energy, and we're excited to introduce Kelvin, our latest state-of-the-art Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility in West Bromwich. Set to be fully operational in 2026, Kelvin will process up to 395,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually, generating up to 44MW of electricity—enough to power 95,000 UK homes while reducing landfill reliance and supporting a circular economy.

As we prepare for operations, we're looking for Electrical, Control and Instrument Technicians to join our growing team and help shape the future of this cutting-edge site.

About the role

As an EC&I Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems of the plant to ensure optimum performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting EC&I systems across the EfW facility.
Supporting the installation, commissioning, and testing of new EC&I equipment.
Monitoring and diagnosing plant performance, using SCADA and DCS systems to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency.
Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify issues before they arise.
Supporting plant shutdowns, ensuring that all EC&I systems are fully operational and safe.
Collaborating with the operations and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and improve plant performance.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Keeping accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment performance.

What We Are Looking For:

ONC/HNC in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation or a related field.
Proven experience as an EC&I Technician in a heavy industrial or energy-from-waste environment.
Strong technical knowledge of EC&I systems, PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and fault finding.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to continuous learning and development
