As a Market Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our portfolio of commercial and municipal waste disposal customers. Your primary goal is to maximize the financial, operational, and strategic objectives for our Kemsley plant and the wider South East market.
You will oversee fuel sourcing, strategic projects, and key market plans to ensure our facilities run at full capacity and deliver maximum value.
You’ll be the face of enfinium in the fuel market, building and maintaining relationships with waste suppliers, identifying opportunities, and driving key projects such as waste-by-rail, biosolids treatment, and complex waste management.
Key Responsibilities:
Fuel Sourcing: Act as the lead in identifying and securing sufficient waste streams to fuel our facilities at optimum levels. You'll develop supplier relationships, source and negotiate contracts, and identify difficult waste opportunities.
Fuel Contract Management: Oversee waste delivery schedules, ensuring suppliers meet contractual volumes and plant needs. You'll also work closely with plant operations to adjust supply as necessary.
Strategic & Financial Planning: Lead budgeting activities, provide critical input on facility P&L, and ensure waste revenue targets are met. Support senior management with reports and presentations on key performance objectives.
Market Intelligence: Keep up-to-date with market forces, pricing trends, and legislation to ensure compliance and capitalize on opportunities. You’ll also contribute to the development of the Fuel Supply Plan.
Project Leadership: Oversee and deliver strategic projects related to waste management and fuel supply, ensuring alignment with our Business Plan and Value Creation Plan.
- Significant experience in fuel sourcing and sales.
- Understanding of the MSW and C&I waste market, including waste types, sources, and regulations.
- Experience managing complex projects, including waste exports and imports (beneficial but not essential).
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Excellent communication skills – able to present to clients and senior stakeholders.
