About The Role

Microsoft Power / M365 Engineer

 Location: London

Reports to: Director of IT

The Microsoft Power / M365 Engineer is responsible for leading the analysis of our Microsoft 365 tenant and driving the development of new functionalities using the Power Platform suite. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft 365 applications and services, coupled with a strong proficiency in PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Analysis

  • Conduct thorough assessment and documentation of our current Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and enhancement across Microsoft 365 applications (including SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange).

Power Platform Development

  • Design and develop robust solutions using PowerApps, ensuring scalability and integration with existing systems.
  • Create automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
  • Develop insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Collaboration and Support

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new functionalities developed within the Power Platform.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in administering and configuring Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Strong proficiency in developing applications and workflows using PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams administration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree level education
  • Experience of:
  • Being an Enterprise Architect and other senior IT roles
  • Energy or manufacturing business
  • Significant change projects with technology
  • Modern IT technologies and leading products
  • Good understanding of the enterprise Applications of Microsoft, Dynamics and Azure
  • Experience with a medium size ERP Improvement / Migration

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No direct reports
  • (Contract) Business Analysts (or people covering this role) for projects or additional contract EAs (if needed for capacity) will need to report to the EA as part of their project responsibilities
