Regional Plant Accountant
As this role covers the South of England it can be based in Deeside, West Bromwich, London or Sittingbourne

Now we’re looking for a Regional Plant Accountant South supporting our sites; Kelvin, West Bromwich, Parc Adfer, Deeside and Kemsley, Sittingbourne. This role can been based at any of the three sites but there will be an expectation that each site is visited at least once a month.
The role
As a key member of our finance team, you’ll ensure the accurate preparation and maintenance of costs or Gross Margin data for your assigned plants. You’ll be the go-to person for plant managers, providing timely and insightful financial information — including forecasts and budgets — to support decision-making, operational performance, and compliance.
You’ll take ownership of month-end processes, variance analysis, and reporting, partnering closely with Finance, Operations, and FP&A colleagues. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where your proactive mindset and analytical skills will make a real difference.
Key responsibilities

Manage PO reporting, accruals, and reconciliations for purchasing and sales processes.
- Prepare and process month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Deliver month-end variance analysis and reporting, including foreign currency transactions.
- Complete all month-end duties up to first draft of variance analysis and cashflow for your assigned sites.
- Review P&L with the Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, Plant Manager, and FP&A Manager.
- Partner with plant managers to ensure adherence to financial controls and drive performance.
- Support wider finance initiatives, including continuous improvement and company-wide projects.
- Provide cover and support for finance colleagues as required.
About you
We’re looking for someone who combines strong financial acumen with a collaborative approach. You’ll have:
- CIMA or ACCA qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a multi-site or industrial environment.
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in business partnering and building trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
